觀塘區傑出學生選舉簡介
目的
觀塘區學校眾多，培育無數學生，當中不乏學業成績優異、體藝成就卓越、對社區作出貢獻、關心社會及國家大事的學生。為了在學界進一步推廣積極上進、貢獻社會的風氣，本會舉辦「觀塘區傑出學生選舉」，嘉許及肯定品學兼優、表現傑出的學生，並鼓勵更多學生能以他們為榜樣，努力學習，裝備自己，貢獻社會。
參選資格
觀塘區註冊中學學生
初中組(中一至中三)
高中組(中四至中六)
＊ 由就讀學校推薦或自薦皆可
＊ 凡曾獲得觀塘區傑出學生或優秀學生之同學不能再參與同一組別選舉
截止報名日期：2018年4月9日（星期一）
參選辦法
（1） 填妥本報名表格後，於截止日期或之前（郵寄以郵戳日期為準）或親身遞交到本會（傳真及電郵報名一概不接受）；
（2） 參選學生可提供由社會賢達、其就讀學校的校長、老師或課外活動負責人填寫的推薦信；
（3） 在遞交本報名表時，參選學生須同時提交於「成就及獎項」部分所提供的資料之相關證明文件影印本，並在副本右上角標明編號（本會有權就有關資料作出核實）。
選拔標準及程序
（1） 品行端正，操行優良，能為同學楷模者；
（2） 學業成績優良者；
（3） 具領導才能者；
（4） 熱心公益及社區服務者；
（5） 積極參加校內外各種活動，有卓越成績者。
初選：報名表格
決選：報名表格 及 面試表現。
選拔程序：
（1） 評審將按有關標準從各組的參選學生中甄選二十至三十名學生進入決選；
（2）進入決選之學生，必須參加面試，然後評審團按參選者的表現每組選出十名「傑出學生」及約十名「優秀學生」。
選舉流程
截止報名日期：2018 年 4 月 9 日（星期一）
入圍評選： 2018 年 5 月
決選日期： 2018 年 5 月 26 日（星期六）
結果公佈： 2018 年 8 月
學生交流營： 2018 年 8 月
頒獎典禮： 2018 年 9 月
評審團
是次選舉將有決選評審團，本會將邀請教育局、警務處警民關係組、廉政公署、區議員、校長及青年團體代表等擔任評審。評審團將根據參選者的個人素質、學業、課外活動的參與，以及對社會公益事務的熱誠而作出評審。
獎項
各組優秀學生獲發「優秀學生」證書；
各組優勝學生獲發「傑出學生」證書及獎座；
各組獲得進入決選的學生均獲資格參加本會於暑假舉辦之交流活動 （費用及活動內容待定）。
參選規則
（1） 參選學生必須遵守大會制訂的所有參選規則；
（2）參選學生必須服從評審團所作出之決定；
（3）截止日期後所收到的任何報名表格一概不會受理；
（4）若報名表格中有任何資料遺漏、虛報，本會有權取消其參選資格；
（5）若中、英文版本之文意有任何分歧，一概以中文版本為準；
（6）本會有權修改一切有關參選規則而不作事前通知。

Kwun Tong Outstanding Students Election
Objectives
For the past several decades, schools in Kwun Tong have nurtured generations of students. Notably, there are all-rounded achievers who acquire excellent academic results, demonstrate exemplary conduct and actively participate in extra-curricular activities and social services. To appreciate these conscious efforts, we hold the election to commend the outstanding students and encourage their young peers to learn from these role models in the hope that the younger generation will be better equipped and make greater contribution to the society.
Eligibility
Students of registered secondary schools in Kwun Tong District
（1） Junior Session— Secondary 1 to 3
（2） Senior Session— Secondary 4 to 6
＊ Students can apply with school nomination or by self-nomination.
＊ Students honoured with Outstanding Student Award or Commended Award in previous elections are NOT allowed to join the same session this year.
Deadline of registration：9th April, 2018（Monday）
Application
（1） The application form is delivered to schools and made available here.
（2） Complete the application form and submit it in person or by post by the stated deadline. (Application submitted by fax or email will NOT be accepted)
（3） Present the recommendation letter(s) by social celebrities, the school principal, teachers or person-in-charge of extra-curricular activities if any.
（4） All copies of the supporting documents for the information presented in “Achievements and Awards” section must be submitted with the application form. Further validation may be required.

Election Procedures:
（1） 20 to 30 selected candidates in each session will be invited to the final round.
（2） Shortlisted finalists must attend the final interview. 10 students in each session will be awarded the Outstanding Student Award and the Commended Award respectively
Important Dates
（1） Application Deadline : 9th April 2018 (Monday)
（2） Preliminary Round : May 2018
（3） Final Interview : 26th May 2018 (Saturday)
（4） Results Announcement : August 2018
（5） Summer Camp : August 2018
（6） Prize Presentation Ceremony : September 2018
Judging Panel
The Judging Panel will assess candidates in terms of their performance in the interviews, academic performance, participation in extra-curricular activities and social services, etc. Members include but not limited to government officials from Education Bureau and Police Public Relations Bureau, members of the District Council, school principals, representatives of youth groups.
Awards
（1） Awardee of the Commended Award will receive a certificate.
（2） Awardee of the Outstanding Student Award will receive a certificate and a trophy.
（3） All finalists will be invited to the Summer Camp. (Details to be announced)
Rules and Regulations
（1） Applicants must comply with all rules and regulations.
（2） Applicants must respect the decisions of the judging panel.
（3） Any submissions after the application deadline will NOT be accepted.
（4） Disqualification may be resulted from any missing or fraudulent information.
（5） The Chinese version prevails in case of any discrepancies between the English version and the Chinese version of the application form.
（6） The organizer reserves the right to amend the rules and regulations without prior notice.
